Homosexuality – What does the Bible teach?

It is important to mention that temptations are not sins, even in such a high-voltage area:

“The Catholic Church teaches that homosexuality is not a sin but that homosexual acts are: ‘Homosexual persons are called to chastity,’ one section of the Catechism which addresses homosexuality reads. It also says Scripture calls homosexual acts ‘acts of grave depravity.'”

I would agree, giving into a temptation is what is sinful, and it should be mentioned also that the Lord does give deliverance!

1 Corinthians 6:9-11  Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were…

What is wrong can be made right, in the presence of God, there are several groups in just this area, such as Exodus International, Mario Bergner’s ministry “Redeemed Lives,” Leanne Payne’s “Pastoral Care Ministry.”

LEV 18:22 “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”

LEV 20:13 “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

1KI 14:24 “There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.”

RO 1:24-27 “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”
