Await the flame of love upon the altar,
And sacrifice right offerings and true.
Let love consume the coals and bitter fire,
In stillness wait, lest anger kindle you.
In trusting heart’s devotion, put to flame
Distress and lies the world would crave and keep.
Pure burning shall consume all wrong desire,
Speak, listen, and receive from Him in peace,
Your sleep.
